Another favourite of my top 10 dahlias to grow. Ottos thrill is where it all began for me, my love for flowers and dahlias specifically my dahlia addiction. I remember as a child this dahlia being grown in my parents yard which was a tuber given to my mom from my grandpa, it was always my favourite flower in the yard! When I began getting into gardening my mom gave me a tuber clump from ottos thrill. The genetics of this dahlia are quite old and is now classified as an heirloom being introduced in 1956, it has won many awards over the years. With amazing stand out large fluffy rose pink blooms its no wonder its been around for so many years, its always a favourite in the dahlia patch and a favourite among florists. Although a pie plate, the side shoots are smaller and easier to arrange with.
